Information you should know

When an item fails authentication, KLEKT follows specific procedures depending on the reason for the failure. Eligible items may be placed on consignment, while others may be subject to return and storage procedures. Administrative fees may also apply.

Consignment After Failed Authentication

Certain items that fail authentication due to discrepancies, such as a damaged box, incorrect gender, incorrect SKU or size, or missing accessories, may be placed on consignment in accordance with KLEKT’s Terms of Service.

Counterfeit items are not eligible for consignment and are handled according to the applicable policies.

Storage of Failed Items

Items with outstanding administrative fees or that remain uncollected will be stored for up to 90 days from the date they fail authentication.

During this period, sellers are responsible for settling any outstanding administrative fees and arranging the return or collection of their items, where applicable.

What Happens After the 90-Day Storage Period?

If an item remains uncollected and/or administrative fees remain unpaid after the 90-day period, KLEKT reserves the right to determine how the item will be handled in accordance with its Terms of Service.

This may include selling, liquidating, donating, destroying or otherwise disposing of the item, or placing it on consignment where permitted.

If an item is placed on consignment but does not sell, KLEKT may choose an alternative method of disposal in accordance with its policies. Counterfeit items are excluded from consignment.

To avoid your item being disposed of, ensure you arrange its return or collection, where applicable, and settle any outstanding administrative fees before the end of the 90-day period.

For further information, please refer to the KLEKT Terms of Service – Seller Terms.
